GENERAL OVERVIEW: “Uzina Mecanica Filiasi” factory, property of EXPLOROM SPECIAL SERVICES is located on 46 Avram Iancu Street, Filiasi City, Dolj County, at 37 km distance from Craiova City.

The factory was built at the end of 80’s, being the last and the most modern facility for production of weapons and ammunition in Romania.

It belonged to the ROMARM National Company until 2006, when it entered the privatization process and became a private factory, but retaining its strategic role in the defence industry.

It was purchased by EXPLOROM SPECIAL SERVICES in 2009, rehabilitated and renovated, currently having the capacity and authorizations, both to produce ammunition and to destroy expired or non-compliant ammunition.
